‘Hawkeye’ Episode 5 Will Break The Internet, Could Feature Key Marvel Villain

The fifth episode of Hawkeye will reportedly break the internet and could introduce a key Marvel villain into the mix.

Hawkeye’s third episode was pretty heavy on teasing Maya Lopez’s “Uncle”, a noticeably daunting figure who looms over the Tracksuit Mafia. If you’ve been paying attention to rumors, then you know that the series is pretty much setting the stage of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, who first appeared in the since canceled Daredevil series on Netflix. Though D’Onofrio has kept quiet on the rumors, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recently confirmed Charlie Cox’s return as Daredevil in the MCU, paving the way for Kingpin to return.

After all, Kingpin and Maya Lopez are inherently connected in the comics, and their relationship would make for great television. If rumors weren’t enough to get you excited for the future of Hawkeye, perhaps a tease will. TVLine recently dropped its fair share of scoops regarding upcoming shows. Though details on brief regarding what will happen, the site reports that the fifth episode of Hawkeye will break the internet. When asked what Marvel fans can expect, here’s exactly what the outlet had to say:

“Only that Episode 5, I hear, should blow up Twitter a bit.”

Well, that’s quite the tease. Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will likely appear either in this week or next week’s episode of Hawkeye as well. Pugh’s character was last seen in the Black Widow film, mourning her surrogate sister. The film ended with her on the hunt for Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, who she believes is responsible for Natasha Romanoff’s death. It remains to be seen if Wilson Fisk shows up in the series alongside Pugh’s Black Widow, but all signs point to a chaotic Marvel reunion.

Here is the synopsis for Hawkeye:

Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Tony Dalton, Fra Free, Brian d’Arcy James, Aleks Paunovic, Piotr Adamczyk, Linda Cardellini, Simon Callow, Vera Farmiga and Alaqua Cox. Florence Pugh is expected to return in her Black Widow role.

The first three episodes of Hawkeye are now available to stream on Disney Plus, with new episodes dropping on Wednesdays.
