‘Black Adam’ BTS Photos Tease Dwayne Johnson’s Menacing DC Anti-Hero

Behind-the-scenes photos from the DC Extended Universe’s Black Adam tease Dwayne Johnson’s all-powerful anti-hero.

Dwayne Johnson has spent the last decade trying to bring Black Adam to life. Now that the film has officially wrapped filming and is in post-production, fans can rest easy in knowing that Johnson’s DC anti-hero will see the light of day very soon. Details on the DC production are slim, though we do know that Black Adam will be touted as one of the DC Extended Universe’s most powerful characters.

Footage from DC FanDome showed the opening minutes of the film. Though the footage was brief, we saw Black Adam turn his enemies into absolute dust, confirming that the anti-hero could easily take on the likes of Superman, or even his counterpart Shazam!. In fact, Johnson has previously explained why he believes Black Adam is capable of decimating Superman – arguably the most powerful hero of all time – in battle.

With the film set to hit cinemas next summer, a brand new set of behind-the-scenes photos from Total Film Magazine’s 2022 preview issue (via Fandom) have made their way online. The photos show Dwayne Johnson suited up as Black Adam, giving us our best look yet at the chilling black and gold suit. These behind-the-scenes set photos appear to have been taken in the same temple that was briefly teased in the DC FanDome footage.

In addition to Dwayne Johnson, the film stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui are also on board in undisclosed roles. Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions are producing the movie with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo. FlynnPictureCo’s Scott Sheldon serves as an executive producer.

Black Adam is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the highly-anticipated Dwayne Johnson film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original content.
