Back to Smash Bros. we go.
Over the past few weeks there have been leaks and teases for a Warner Bros platform fighter, a genre very much defined by Super Smash Bros., of course. It’s now been officially revealed as MultiVersus, above, with the previous leaks being pretty much bang on the money.
The big surprise, from our perspective, is the platform list. It’s coming to Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2022. Yes, the big missing platform is Stadia Switch. We’re not sure why, frankly, there’s nothing in that trailer that highlights it as a game that can’t run on Nintendo’s system, and it is coming to Microsoft and Sony’s last-gen systems. It seems like a game well suited to the Switch audience too, but at this time it’s skipping the hybrid platform.
