‘Ant-Man 3’: Paul Rudd Comments On Bill Murray Cameo Rumors

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Paull Rudd has opened about the Bill Murray cameo rumors.

One of the zaniest rumors of the year suggested legendary comedian Bill Murray would be joining Paul Rudd for the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp sequel. Shortly after the rumor took the internet by storm, Murray himself confirmed that he was in a Marvel movie. Though he didn’t explicitly mention the name of the project, he revealed that the film was directed by Bring It On director Peyton Reed, who helmed the entire Ant-Man trilogy.

Details on Bill Murray’s appearance are slim and it’s unclear if it’s a full-fledged supporting role or just a cameo appearance. One thing’s for certain: he’ll have one of the most memorable roles in any Marvel movie.

It looks like Paul Rudd didn’t get the message that Bill Murray all but confirmed his role in the film, as the Ant-Man star has denied the “rumor”. During the red carpet for Ghostbusters: Afterlife (which also features Bill Murray), Paul Rudd was asked by Entertainment Tonight if the star would be popping up in the Ant-Man threequel. Rudd denied the rumor, saying that fans have mixed up his Marvel film with Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

“Oh I’ve heard about this rumor, but it’s a rumor. I mean, I think maybe there was some cross-pollination, and they were thinking about [Ghostbusters].”

The interviewer dug deeper, asking who Bill Murray could potentially play if he was brought in for Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

“Couldn’t he be anything? The guy can do everything. My god, haven’t you seen his work with Wes Andersen?”

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will hit theaters on February 17, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the film and Bill Murray’s involvement in the film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
