‘The Mandalorian’ Star Sasha Banks Reveals If She’ll Be Back For Season 3

WWE superstar Sasha Banks revealed if she’ll be returning for The Mandalorian’s third season.

Sasha Banks went from a WWE arena to a galaxy far, far away in the second season of The Mandalorian. Banks starred as Koska Reeves, a warrior who joins Bo-Katan on her adventures throughout the galaxy. Banks’ warrior was an absolute standout but it looks like she won’t be popping up in the third season of the Star Wars series.

The WWE legend told Bleacher Report that she won’t be returning to The Mandalorian. She appeared in the second season for two episodes alongside Bo-Katan.

“First of all, thanks for trying to get that out, but I’m not on the next season. But it was incredible being on The Mandalorian on Star Wars. To be on a franchise that is so huge and so loved, just look at the reception from fans outside of the WWE Universe. It was the best feeling of all time. The projection of that show was overwhelming. I legit felt like I was in a galaxy so far, far away. I felt like I was on a different planet.”

It’s unclear why Sasha Banks won’t be returning to the franchise considering the season finale of The Mandalorian saw Bo-Katan wanting to duke it out with The Mandalorian Djin Djarin himself. It’s unlikely that Banks’ Reeves would miss the battle. But then again, we don’t know if the third season picks up right where the second left off, or if there’s a substantial time jump.

Sasha Banks then went on to praise her time on the Star Wars, discussing how it helped shape her and allowed her a unique opportunity.

“It was something I will always take with me and I took so much of what I learned from acting with them and being with so many great stars to WWE. It really helped my confidence as well when I came back from doing The Mandalorian two years ago. It was such a learning curve and something I wasn’t expecting, but now I’m in this whole new Hollywood world and it’s going amazingly. I’m so excited for the fans, and I can’t wait for my fans to see what’s next.”

Seeing as Banks is still on the WWE roster, it isn’t hard to imagine that her upcoming fights don’t match up with The Mandalorian’s shooting schedule. Then again, Banks could also be keeping coy about her character in the hopes she doesn’t spoil anything.

Here is the synopsis for The Mandalorian:

“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travels of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic….”

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Giancarlo Esposito, Temuera Morrison, Katee Sackhoff, Ming-Na Wen, Bill Burr, Timothy Olyphant, and Carl Weathers, with Rosario Dawson joining the series as Ahsoka Tano ahead of her spin-off series. The series was created by Jon Favreau and executive produced by Dave Filoni, with season two episodes also directed by Rick Famuyiwa, Bryce Dallas Howard, Peyton Reed, Carl Weathers, and Robert Rodriguez.

The first two seasons of The Mandalorian are available on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the Star Wars franchise, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
