‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ Theater Listing Includes J.K. Simmons

A theater listing for Venom: Let There Be Carnage that has surfaced online includes J Jonah Jameson actor JK Simmons.

JK Simmons made his grand return as J Jonah Jameson during the mid-credits scene for Spider-Man: Far From Home and will return in No Way Home. Simmons teased last year he will be back at least two more times as the beloved character.

Since JK Simmons will be back in No Way Home, showing up in Venom: Let There Be Carnage or Morbius feels like the next natural place to go. In the Venom 2 trailers, the Daily Bugle logo from the Sam Raimi films is featured, so it’s unclear which version of the character he would be playing if he appears in the SPUMC. A recent listing on Vue Cinema’s website adds more credence to the idea that JK Simmons will show up in Venom: Let There Be Carnage:

Here is the synopsis for Sony’s first Venom film:

The evolution story of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass character – Venom! Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is a broken man after he loses everything including his job and fiancée. Just when his life is at its lowest, he becomes host to an alien symbiote which results in extraordinary superpowers – transforming him into Venom. Will these powers be enough for this new lethal protector to defeat great evil forces, especially against the far stronger and more weaponized symbiote rival, Riot?

Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.

The first film is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, while Venom: Let There Be Carnage will hit theaters on October 15.
