It’s been several weeks since fans were shocked by the arrival of Evan Peters’ Quicksilver on WandaVision, but one of the VFX supervisors recently revaled that a lot of time went into digitally altering part of his appearance into matching Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Although Kevin Feige revealed they had originally debated bring back Johnson, the Marvel head confirmed that introducing Evan Peters into the mix was an idea that came early on in developing the series.

When speaking to Befores and Afters, WandaVision VFX supervisor Trent Claus explained that a lot of time went into editing the back of Evan Peters’ head in the moments before the shocking reveal when Scarlet Witch opened the door. Claus pointed out that working with hair is difficult and they had to streamline it more to make Peters look like Aaron Taylor-Johnson before the reveal was made. Take a look below.

“No one likes working with hair, it’s always so difficult. Here it was about adjusting to a certain style. For the shoot it had been bigger and fluffier, and they wanted it tighter, more streamlined. You see him from behind per several shots, and then you see him from the front for a few shots, and then you see it again in a later episode when they do the Agatha reveal.”
