See Jeffrey Dean Morgan As Flashpoint Batman For Ezra Miller’s ‘The Flash’

With Ezra Miller’s The Flash set to use some of the events from the Flashpoint storyline in the comics, a new design imagines what Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Thomas Wayne would’ve looked like suited up as Flashpoint Batman. In that continuity, Bruce Wayne is the one who dies in the alleyway, leaving Thomas and Martha Wayne broken as that world’s Batman and Joker respectively. Although the film reportedly features Michael Keaton’s Batman alongside Ben Affleck’s take on the character, Keaton recently cast doubt on the idea.

If Keaton doesn’t return as the 1989 Batman, it would be great to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan step into the film as Flashpoint Batman working alongside Ezra Miller’s The Flash as he does in the original comics. This fan art from ‘pennock_art’ on Instagram gives the star a bulky tactical suit alongside an eerie red chest design next to the red lenses in the cowl. Most recently, Ron Livingston was confirmed to replace Billy Crudup as Henry Allen since Crudup’s commitments to The Morning Show will get in the way of production. Take a look at Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Flashpoint Batman for the Ezra Miller film below.

Plot details for The Flash are currently unknown. Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will return as their respective Batmen and guide Barry on this journey inspired by Geoff John’s Flashpoint. Kiersey Clemons will reprise her role as Iris West in the film and Maribel Verdú is set to play Nora Allen.

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 3rd, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on The Flash, Flashpoint Batman and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more exclusive video content.
