Warning, spoilers ahead for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has finally made its way onto Disney Plus with an excellent first episode – and it also featured a surprise cameo from one of the Avengers heroes. It isn’t that surprising since the show deals with the direct aftermath of Avengers: Endgame and the return of all the lost souls that Thanos snapped away at the end of Infinity War. And during the ceremony handing over Captain America’s shield to the Smithsonian Museum, another hero was present to commemorate the occasion.

When Sam Wilson gives a speech about the mantle of Captain America’s shield and Steve Rogers’ heroism, the audience sees a friendly face in the crowd; James Rhodes, A.K.A. War Machine. After the ceremony, the pair wander the Captain America exhibit in the Smithsonian while Rhodey asks Sam more about how he feels about the shield. Don Cheadle previously revealed he’d be a part of the show, but it’ll be interesting to see if he makes any more appearances ahead of his own series, Armor Wars.

What did you think to the first episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier? Are you excited to see if there’s any more Avengers appearances in the show? Sound-off in the comments below!
