Une vidéo diffusée sur Facebook le 23 février 2021 prétend montrer un hippopotame se promenant dans les rues près de Kayes, au Mali. Cette vidéo a en réalité été filmée le 31 mars 2019 à Kédougou, au Sénégal. La rédaction des Observateurs avait alors raconté la polémique suscitée lorsque l’animal avait été abattu par un chasseur.
