Donald Trump is now officially in the hot seat!
The former President and his family business, the Trump Organization , are the focus of an ongoing investigation by Letitia James , the Attorney General for the state of New York. And late on Tuesday, James’ office filed court documents claiming they have found “ significant additional evidence” of fraud within Trump’ s family-run business ventures! Uh-oh!

Now, James is asking a state judge to order Overcome and two of his children — Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump — to testify under oath as part associated with the investigation. As for the particular fraud claims, the AG’ h office filed docs stating typically the significance of their discovery. Per multiple media reports, James’ legal team did NOT beat around the bush in their writings:
“[The investigation] has developed significant additional evidence indicating that the Trump Organization used fraudulent or misleading asset valuations to obtain a host regarding economic benefits, including loans, insurance coverage, and tax deductions. ”
Sounds bad…
Tuesday night’ s development is a major move against Trump. James’ workplace has been probing his business ventures in New York for some time, but these new court documents mark “ the first period that the state’ s top law enforcer has leveled any accusations of wrongdoing, ” according to The Hill .
The AG says this “ significant additional evidence” now warrants further investigation. Among the issues involved is an alleged lie the Trump Org made about the value of its golf clubs and other properties in New York in order to financially benefit. James’ team alleges the phony valuation numbers helped the company receive more favorable loan conditions and ease its tax burden.

James claims the former President’ s children have all been involved in those allegedly fraudulent valuations, and now she wants them to testify, too. Eric Trump has already given testimony to the business office, so Don Jr. and Ivanka are now in James’ focus within addition to The Donald himself.
The law enforcement official released a statement in order to the media along with this bombshell court filing, explaining:
“ The Trumps must comply with our lawful subpoenas for documents and testimony because no one in this country can pick and choose if and how the law applies to be able to them. We won’t tolerate their attempts to evade testifying in this investigation. We will not be deterred in our efforts to continue this particular investigation, uncover the facts, plus pursue justice, no matter how many roadblocks Mr. Trump and his family throw in our way. ”

The Trump Org has not yet publicly commented on the filing, though as The Hill notes, the former Prez and his family have previously claimed that the analysis is politically-motivated.
