Zendaya Teases Fallout From Peter Parker Identity Reveal In ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

Zendaya teased the fallout from the identity revelation of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

During the mid-credits sequence of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal) AKA Mysterio’s contingency plan was put into place. Not only was Spider-Man (Tom Holland) framed for Quentin’s death, but his identity as Peter Parker was revealed to the world. Just when things started looking up for him, now that he is dating MJ (Zendaya), his life takes a turn for even more danger.

In Empire Magazine’s cover story on Spider-Man: No Way Home, Zendaya addressed how the impact in which the revelation of Peter Parker as Spider-Man to the public will alter the core characters’ lives forever:

“Everybody around him, who cares about him and loves him, gets put into danger… As soon as they get to be in love, everything else starts to crumble.”

In regards to core characters in this current trilogy of films, the fallout of Peter Parker’s identity revelation will put a toll on his loved ones. Of course, Zendaya’s MJ will deal with the drama given that she is romantically involved with him, but also his best friend Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) and Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) will have their own problems as a result.

Zendaya recently hinted that she was uncertain about the future of the Spider-Man films, given the sense of completion that No Way Home looks to bring to Peter Parker’s arc that began in Captain America: Civil War. Looks like we will have to wait and see come Christmastime.

Here is the synopsis for Spider-Man: No Way Home:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is umasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Alfred Molina.
