‘Hawkeye’ Star Hailee Steinfeld Ponders Potential Young Avengers Future

Hawkeye actress Hailee Steinfeld pondered over a potential Young Avengers project.

With the introduction of certain new characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far in Phase 4 on both the big and small screens, some have speculated that we will be seeing the formation of the Young Avengers in a future project, whether it would be a film or TV series. Hawkeye will be introducing Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, who some fans anticipate could be an integral member for the possible new team.

In an interview with Empire Magazine promoting Hawkeye, Hailee Steinfeld was asked about possibly assembling with the Young Avengers in a future project. She teased that “there’s a lot of new opportunities rising,” but wouldn’t elaborate any further. She also teased the relationship her character has with her mother Eleanor Bishop (Vera Farmiga):

“Family is an interesting story to unpack. Mother-daughter relationships can be complicated in real life, and Kate is at an age where she’s becoming her own person and disagrees with some of what her mom has to say. The dynamics are… interesting.”

Hailee Steinfeld is one of the most in-demand actresses of her generation. Having received an Academy Award-nomination for her breakout performance in True Grit a decade ago, she finally makes her live action comic book debut as Kate Bishop in Hawkeye. If a Young Avengers project is in the works, it will be exciting to see her take part in the team and potentially with the rest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes sometime down the line as well.

Here is the synopsis for Hawkeye:

Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Brian d’Arcy James, and Alaqua Cox. Florence Pugh is expected to return in her Black Widow role.

Hawkeye is set to premiere with two episodes on November 24, exclusively on Disney Plus. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news regarding the future of Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop and the Young Avengers, and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
