Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock grabs Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in a new photo from Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Although Eternals in the next new film from Marvel Studios, fans are already eager to see the next chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Spider-Man: No Way Home is shaping up to be the biggest Spidey flick thus far, and much of that is due to the introduction of the Multiverse. Thanks to this new narrative approach, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will come face-to-face with previous villains including Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock.
Alfred Molina previously played Doc Ock in Sam Raimi’s acclaimed Spider-Man 2, in which Dr. Otto Octavius faced off against Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker. 17 years later, he makes his triumphant return to the big screen, and the first official trailer for No Way Home ended with a mic drop, revealing the iconic villain as one of Tom Holland’s main antagonists in the highly-anticipated film.
A brand new photo, courtesy of Empire Magazine’s upcoming cover story on Spider-Man: No Way Home was revealed. Here, we get another look at the scene from the trailer where Doc Ock and Spider-Man meet. As you can see, Peter is certainly going to need some help getting out of this situation…
Given that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is going to be facing at least Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock and Jamie Foxx’s Electro among other threats, perhaps he’s going to need the help of other superheroes. We know Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is in this film, but maybe these villains would best be fought against by heroes that previously dealt with them…
Here is the synopsis for Spider-Man: No Way Home:
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”
Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Alfred Molina.
No Way Home is currently set to be released on December 17, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the film and Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywoods YouTube channel for more original video content.
