This Spring Jacket Is Definitely Going to Be the Next Cult Frankie Shop Piece

Frankie Shop knows a thing or two about creating a cult wardrobe item. The brand, born in New York’s Lower East Side in 2014 by a Parisian founder (a power combo of cool to say the least), pretty much went viral from day one with its minimalist yet confident aesthetic that fashion people to this day can’t get enough of. From the ubiquitous quilted jacket that’s become a firm capsule staple to the instantly recognisable slouchy tailoring, we’ve come to expect great things from Frankie Shop with each new season. For some brands that pressure could be a curse, but not this one— the pieces just keep getting better and better without fail.

How cute does Emili look in the purple version.

Maybe it’s because they tend to focus on perfecting a few hero items that are made to last rather than releasing extensive short-term collections; it could be because they seem to be able to read into what we all truly want to wear. Either way, the latest capsule wardrobe piece the brand have put their perfectly oversized stamp on is the humble bomber jacket— and of course, it doesn’t disappoint. Released in four colours (for now), the Astra shell jacket is the modern twist on a classic we didn’t even know we needed. And since the bomber is set to be huge news again for autumn/winter 2022 and beyond, we’re predicting a sellout soon enough.

Of course, it didn’t take long for fashion’s coolest people to jump on it, and we’ve already seen a handful of the most stylish influencers sporting their Astra bombers. Luckily, it’s just landed in a few colours on Net-a-Porter and in black at Selfridges, so if you’ve been searching for that perfect spring jacket to take with you into autumn as well— look no further. Keep scrolling to see how influencers have been styling theirs so far, and then shop the bomber (and more of  our favourite Frankie Shop picks) below…
