Capcom Increases Base Salaries For Japanese Staff By 30%

Move comes ahead of expected fifth consecutive year of record profits.

Recently, we reported that Bandai Namco increased the monthly earnings for its Japanese staff, and now Capcom will be following suit by raising the base salary of its Japanese staff by 30%.

As reported by VGC, the move will take effect from the 2022 fiscal year (so, now) and will also come with a new bonus scheme that’s more closely tied to the company’s business performance. The move comes ahead of an expected fifth consecutive year of record profits for the company and a ninth consecutive year of operating income growth, which Capcom will report as part of its 2021 fiscal year results in May.
