Much Anticipated Horror RPG ‘Omori’ Has A Physical Edition On The Way

Decisions, decisions…

It’s often a trend in anticipated Indie games to have an eShop release and then, months later when many have cracked and bought the download, a special or limited physical edition is revealed. That won’t be the case with Omori, pleasingly, as it’s been confirmed that Fangamer will sell a physical edition for $34.99; pre-orders are open with shipping due to start on 17th June. Intriguingly the game still only has a ‘Spring’ window for the eShop, but presumably it’ll get a formal release date in the coming weeks.

Having released on Steam in December the game has had an extraordinary response, with over 30,000 user reviews being ‘overwhelmingly positive’. It’s a game that’s been intriguing since it was originally planned for 3DS, with EarthBound stylings and a ‘horror RPG’ approach. It seems to be one of those games with the creativity and writing to have a big impact on its players.
