Pokémon Diamond And Pearl Remakes Passed 6 Million Sales In Launch Week

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have been the tentpole Switch releases for the Holiday shopping season, with early sales data in countries like Japan and the UK pointing to positive results. Now it’s been reported by Gamebiz.jp that the releases passed six million sales globally in their launch week, which is hugely impressive.

As a broad number that’s in the same ballpark as Sword and Shield’s equivalent results, which suggests that the remakes have held a similar appeal to the previous new-gen releases. That’s notable, considering that this figure is a good bit above (about double) the equivalent launch sales for Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!.
