‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’: Tom Holland Teases ‘Very Violent’ Fight Sequences

Tom Holland has teased “very violent” fight sequences in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to release in less than a month. Just yesterday, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures broke the internet when they released tickets for the film. The demand to see Spidey opening weekend crashed the sites of numerous exhibitors. Clearly, the hype is out of this world for Tom Holland’s solo threequel. To get fans even more excited, Holland shared some key details about the film’s action sequences.

In a recent interview with TV Globo, Tom Holland discussed how Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature “very violent” fight sequences. Holland says that these action scenes will be unlike anything we’ve seen Spider-Man ever do before. The translated comments can be found below.

I know I’m probs late but….translation
Tom: There are some fight scenes in this movie that are very violent. And it’s a fighting style different from what we’ve seen before. But really you will get to see spiderman using his fists in a “fight or run” situation. https://t.co/JBRl6j7bnu

One of the complaints the Marvel Cinematic Universe has often been on the receiving end of is how tame and safe the fights are. Besides the likes of Infinity War and Endgame, very rarely do we see the ferocious intensity in the MCU films. Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to be a gamechanger for both Spidey and the MCU, so here’s hoping we get to see the web crawler’s fighting style evolve.

Here is the synopsis for Spider-Man: No Way Home:

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is umasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Marvel’s latest stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Alfred Molina.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters on December 17, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the film, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
