‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’: Jamie Foxx Responds To Latest Trailer

Electro star Jamie Foxx has shared a fitting response to the latest Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer.

Marvel Studios set the internet on fire this week when they dropped the second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. The latest look at the Spidey threequel confirmed the return of additional villains, including Jamie Foxx’s Electro, Rhys Ifans’ The Lizard, and Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman. Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina will also be returning as Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus, respectively.

With the Sinister Five (that sounds awkward, doesn’t it?) all rounded up and ready to take on Spider-Man, Jamie Foxx has responded to the latest trailer. Taking to Instagram, Foxx shared a photo of lightning striking the sky, with the caption “Light em up… #chasingspiders.” If that isn’t ominous, we don’t know what it is.

It’s interesting on how Foxx said “chasing spiders” and not “spiders”. Rumors have suggested for quite some that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will be reprising their roles as their respective Spider-Men, though nothing has been confirmed thus far. Seeing as the film is supposed to feature a medley of villains, we’re still uncertain just how much screentime Jamie Foxx will get as Electro in the Spidey threequel. What’s interesting is that this iteration of Electro isn’t blue like he was last seen as in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Maybe this is a different version of Electro?

Here is the synopsis for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home:

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is umasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Alfred Molina.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters on December 17, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the film, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
