When it comes to Spider-Man: No Way Home, no actor or actress involved is safe from the inevitable question: Are Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the movie? We are about a month away from the film’s release, and now Benedict Cumberbatch is the latest actor dodging such rumors.

Benedict Cumberbatch, who reprises his role as Doctor Strange in Spider-Man: No Way Home made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live promoting his upcoming Netflix film The Power of the Dog, which has garnered him some Oscar potential. The Academy Award-nominated actor was asked about the possibility of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield appearing through the Multiverse. Obviously, he won’t confirm their possible involvement, but he also sang the praises of Andrew Garfield’s performance in the Netflix musical Tick, Tick… Boom!:

“I saw him in a Zoom call recently for a roundtable and in Tick, Tick… Boom!. He’s brilliant in that movie.”

Whether or not we will be seeing Benedict Cumberbatch and Andrew Garfield together in Spider-Man: No Way Home remains a mystery, but it appears that we will at least be seeing them interact together in an upcoming roundtable discussion, likely discussing their awards-worthy performances in both The Power of the Dog and Tick, Tick… Boom!.
