Ant-Man star Paul Rudd has nabbed People’s 2021 Sexiest Man Alive.
Before he was Ant-Man, Paul Rudd was a teen heartthrob thanks to appearances in 90s classics Clueless and Friends. Rudd later leaned heavily into comedies, starring in instant classics like Role Models and Anchorman, before he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rudd has enjoyed a healthy career in moviemaking and one thing his fans seem to agree on is that he just doesn’t age.
So it’s no surprise that People magazine has crowned Paul Rudd as this year’s Sexiest Man Alive. The Ant-Man star joins a pantheon of A-list stars which includes Bradd Pitt, Matt Damon, George Clooney, and Ben Affleck. He also joins fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Michael B. Jordan, Chris Hemsworth, and Idris Elba.
Paul Rudd jokingly told the magazine that he plans on having dinner with some of the previous Sexiest Men Alive, including Batman & Robin star George Clooney and Killmonger himself, Michael B. Jordan.
“I’m hoping now that I’ll finally be invited to some of those sexy dinners with Clooney and Pitt and B Jordan. And I figure I’ll be on a lot more yachts. I’m excited to expand my yachting life. And I’ll probably try to get better at brooding in really soft light. I like to ponder. I think this is going to help me become more inward and mysterious. And I’m looking forward to that.”
The Ant-Man star also knows that his friends are going to badger on about the title, but he has no plans on being humble. In fact, Rudd hilariously stated that he’s going to get business cards made to ensure everyone knows how important this is.
“As they should. I would. I mean I’m going to lean into it hard. I’m going to own this. I’m not going to try to be like ‘Oh, I’m so modest.’ I’m getting business cards made. But all of my friends will destroy me and I expect them to. And that’s why they’re my friends.”
