A brand new poster for Eternals puts the focus on Kingo’s trusty and hilarious valet Karun.

Mild spoilers ahead for Eternals.

After a series of delays, Chloe Zhao’s sci-fi epic Eternals opened this weekend to positive attendance at the box office. Sure, the film wasn’t the biggest crowd-pleaser, but everybody could agree that one of the stand-out characters from the film was Karun. One of the biggest scene-stealers from Eternals was Kingo’s laugh-out-loud funny valet Karun, who has been working with the cosmic being turned Bollywood superstar for over 4 decades. After Sersi, Ikaris, and Sprite came to Kingo for his help, Karun joined the team up until the film’s climatic battle.

Kingo instructed Karun to document the ‘gang coming back together and the valet tried his hardest despite all his cameras being destroyed by the end of the film. During the film’s climax, Kingo decided to step away from his teammates and not interfere in the Celestial’s birth. As Kingo departed, Karun gave a valiant, emotional speech in his native Hindi, thanking the Eternals for all that they had done for Earth throughout their residence.

One of the film’s most emotional moments, it’s no doubt that many herald Karun as the MVP of Eternals. To celebrate the beloved character, Marvel Studios has released a brand new character poster for Kingo’s valet and close friend.

Karun is played by celebrated Bollywood actor Harish Patel, who coincidentally starred in India’s first superhero film Mr. India, all the way back in 1987. Since then, Patel has appeared in dozens of high-profile productions in India and has even starred in English productions like Run Fatboy Run, Today’s Special, All In Good Time, and the recent Four Weddings and a Funeral miniseries.

Here is the synopsis for Marvel Studios’ Eternals:

“The story takes place across two time periods. One storyline is set in the past when they operated as a formidable team and a close family unit. The second storyline is in the present, when the group has fractured and split apart, content to live among humans, hiding in plain sight. The prevailing threat of the Deviants, which once again threatens the existence of mankind, means the Eternals need to put their differences aside and regroup.”

Chloe Zhao directed Eternals from a script she co-wrote with Patrick Burleigh, Kaz Firpo, and Ryan Firpo. The cast of the Marvel Studios project includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, Salma Hayek as Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as Thena.
