Director James Gunn has shared the first behind-the-scenes photo from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
After a series of delays and a public firing, James Gunn is finally back in the director’s chair for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. One of the most anticipated films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s pipeline, the threequel will see the Guardians dealing with the fallout from Avengers: Endgame. Beyond that, details on the film are slim. James Gunn has also tapped Will Poulter to portray Adam Warlock, who was teased at the end of the Guardians‘ last adventure. It’s unclear if Elizabeth Debicki will reprise her role as Ayesha in the film.
Filming on the MCU threequel has officially started, 4 years after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 debuted in cinemas. To celebrate the occasion, James Gunn has shared the first-ever behind-the-scene photo from the threequel.
The photo features most of the core live-action Guardians of the Galaxy members, including Sean Gunn, who portrays Kraglin. Seeing as the Kraglin actor is in the photo, one can assume that he’ll have an expanded role in the film. The photo also features newcomers Will Poulter and Chukwudi Iwuji. Iwuji will next be seen in James Gunn’s upcoming Peacemaker series for HBO Max.
In addition to Chris Pratt and Will Poulter, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is also expected to star Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Sean Gunn. The film’s core cast members were last seen in Avengers: Endgame.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently set to hit theaters on May 5, 2023. Say tuned for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming James Gunn film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
