‘Batwoman’ Star Dougray Scott Refutes Allegations Made By Ruby Rose

Batwoman star Dougray Scott has refuted the allegations made by his former co-star Ruby Rose.

Yesterday, former Kate Kane actress Ruby Rose released a scathing statement filled with allegations against the executives, cast, and crew behind Batwoman. Rose singled out numerous individuals, including co-star Dougray Scott. Rose stated in the statement that Scott had a penchant for yelling at women on the set and even claimed that he hurt a female stunt double.

Now, Dougray Scott has fired back at the actress, calling her allegations “entirely made up” to TV Line.

“I absolutely and completely refute the defamatory and damaging claims made against me by [Ruby Rose]; they are entirely made up and never happened. As Warner Bros. Television has stated, they decided not to exercise the option to engage Ruby for Season 2… based on multiple complaints about her workplace behaviour.”

Shortly after Ruby Rose made her public statement, Warner Bros. discredited her allegations and made it clear that there were numerous complaints about the Batwoman star. Rose also singled out co-star Camrus Johnson, stating that he was an “egomaniac”. Johnson fired back as well last night, stating that Rose did not leave the role of Kate Kane under her own volition, implying that she was fired from the lead role.

Here’s the description for the next episode of Batwoman season three:

“LEFT OUT IN THE COLD – An unfortunate incident in downtown Gotham alerts Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) and the Bat Team that another missing trophy has made its way into the wrong hands. Meanwhile, a new member of the Jet family surfaces when Marquis Jet (Nick Creegan) makes a not-so-subtle entrance, interrupting a very personal moment between Ryan and Jada (Robin Givens). Back on the streets, cryogenics is the name of the game and Sophie (Meagan Tandy) reminds everyone she’s a badass, especially in the middle of life-threatening situations. Batwing (Camrus Johnson) must decide if he’s ready to suit up again, and at Mary’s (Nicole Kang) clinic, the Hippocratic Oath forces a strained sisterly moment between Alice (Rachel Skarsten) and the new doc. Greg Beeman directed the episode written by Nancy Kiu.”

The CW series stars Javicia Leslie, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, Camrus Johnson, Victoria Cartagena, Robin Givens, and Nick Creegan.
