‘Doctor Strange 2’ Production Hat Reveals New Scarlet Witch-Inspired Logo

A stunt production hat from the set of Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness features a new logo inspired by Scarlet Witch.

Earlier last month it was reported that Elizabeth Olsen had wrapped her scenes for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, signaling the end of production. It’s been known for a while that Olsen’s Wanda is set to be a huge part of the upcoming sequel, especially after she assumed the form of the Scarlet Witch in WandaVision. Now, a new logo from the Sam Raimi-directed sequel teases just how integral Olsen’s character is in the good doctor’s quest to seal up the multiverse.

A new production hat for the film’s stunt team has teased two new logos for the Sorcerer Supreme’s second adventure. The first logo simply says “Doctor Strange”, though there’s a “II” wedged between the two words. Below the film’s title, it says “Stunt Team”. The second hat, given to the same stunt team, shows the Sanctum Sanctorium logo married with Scarlet Witch’s logo.

It speaks volumes that Scarlet Witch’s logo is front-and-center on the production team’s hat as it signals just how prevalent the character might be in the upcoming film. It’s unclear how exactly the “multiverse of madness” spawns – and how Scarlet Witch is folded into the upcoming sequel – but we have a feeling it’ll be after Doctor Strange botched the spell that would have kept Peter Parker’s identity anonymous, as teased in the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer.

Details on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are currently limited, though it is said to feature horror elements. Furthermore, the Disney Plus miniseries WandaVision also served as the lead-in to the sequel. Scott Derrickson is still attached to the film as an executive producer, with Sam Raimi set to direct from a script written by Michael Waldron. The sequel will star Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, and Xochitl Gomez.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released on March 25th, 2022. Meanwhile, all episodes of Elizabeth Olsen’s WandaVision are available to stream on Disney Plus.
