Netflix revealed our first look at Kim Bodnia as Vesemir in Season 2 of The Witcher.
One of the most-anticipated upcoming new seasons of a Netflix original series is The Witcher. The series, which stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, was received positively from fans, and the highly-anticipated new season is finally hitting the streaming service just in time for Christmas. Now, we have a brand new look at the character of Vesemir (Kim Bodnia).
In The Witcher stories, Vesemir is known as the oldest and most experienced Witcher at Kaer Morhen and served as a mentor to Geralt. The character’s appearance in the second season will showcase that mentorship, as described by Netflix in an official Tweet:
“It’s the year of Vesemir! Welcome Kim Bodnia as the oldest surviving witcher and Geralt’s beloved mentor, making his debut in The Witcher Season 2.”

Based on the fantasy series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski, Netflix’s The Witcher follows a monster slayer for hire named Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill. Here’s the official synopsis for the second season of the series:
Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.
