‘New ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Set Photos Reveal Martin Freeman’s New Look As Everett Ross

Martin Freeman looks dapper as Everett Ross in brand new set photos from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently filming in Cambridge, MA, near the MIT campus. The sequel, directed by Ryan Coogler is set to be a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who tragically passed away last year. The upcoming Marvel sequel is set to explore his legacy as the Black Panther, all the while finding a new character to take on the mantle. Most of the cast from the 2018 smash hit is set to return, including CIA Agent Everett Ross, who became friendly with T’Challa and the Wakandans after Captain America: Civil War. Ross famously entered the country in the 2018 film and helped stop Killmonger’s coup against the royal family.

Now, Martin Freeman is set to return as the CIA Agent for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Details are slim on his return, though it’s likely he’ll be helping Shuri on her mission. New photos from the Marvel set were snapped earlier this week, showing Freeman decked out and suited up as Everett Ross.

The biggest change in Everett Ross’ look is that he’s wearing glasses. He’s also seen sporting a beard. Martin Freeman was clean-shaven for his previous two Marvel roles. All in all, Freeman looks great for the sequel, but he does look significantly different. Perhaps Ross is undercover in this scene? Only time will tell.

Here is the synopsis for the first Black Panther film:

After the death of his father, the king of Wakanda, young T’Challa returns home to the isolated high-tech African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king – and Black Panther – is tested when he’s drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, he must release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will hit theaters on July 8, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding Martin Freeman’s Everett Ross and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s Youtube channel for more original video content.
