Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead got beautifully roasted thanks to Honest Trailers.
Screen Junkies, the folks behind the much-acclaimed Honest Trailers series, are back with a brand new trailer focusing on Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead. The Honest Trailers series always do a good job of mixing humor with genuine criticism, often pointing out hilarious inconsistencies or issues within the film themselves. The Army of the Dead Honest Trailer is no different, as it brilliantly tethers between complimenting the latest Snyder flick while also calling out some of its shortcomings.
One of the more prominent aspects called out is how many of Zack Snyder’s shots throughout Army of the Dead lack focus, which results in some hilarious commentary from the narrator. Another aspect called out is how everyone in the film is a “damaged bada**”, a sentiment that’s true for almost all of Zack Snyder’s various projects. Check out the trailer for yourself below!

Army of the Dead is one of the first projects Snyder has taken upon with his production company The Stone Quarry. Set during a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, the film follows a group of mercenaries that venture into a quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted. The director co-wrote the screenplay with Shay Hatten. The film is the first in a set of films that includes a prequel directed by star Matthias Schweighöfer known as Army of Thieves and an animated prequel that explains how the zombies came to be.
In addition to directing Army of the Dead, Zack Snyder is serving as the film’s cinematographer. He’s also producing the picture with his wife and producing partner Deborah Snyder alongside Wesley Coller. Ori Marmur and Andrew Norman are overseeing for Netflix. The film stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Tig Notaro, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighöfer, Samantha Win, Ana de la Reguera and Rich Cetrone.
