Gal Gadot shared an emotional message for fans on Wonder Woman‘s fourth anniversary.
After her debut as Wonder Woman in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Gal Gadot returned to the role the following year to star in the character’s origin story. The film was a bonafide commercial and critical success for DC Films, a much-needed win after disappointing reception from both The Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman. Gadot’s Wonder Woman became a cultural phenomenon after its release, and to this day the film is still beloved.
Now, on Wonder Woman’s four-year anniversary, Gadot shared an emotional and heartfelt message to fans on Twitter. She let her 2.8 million followers know that the role “changed [her] life” and that she’s grateful for the opportunity. She also took a brief moment to tease Wonder Woman 3, which is currently in development. Attached with the heartfelt tweet are the final moments from Wonder Woman, which summarize Diana’s quest for bring peace into the world.
