‘Black Widow’: New Clip Highlights Awkward Family Dynamic

A new clip from Black Widow showcases the awkward dynamic between the Russian assassin family.

Black Widow is finally upon us! After a less than ideal set of delays thanks to COVID-19, the Scarlett Johansson-led film is set to hit cinemas and Disney Plus’ Premier Access on July 9th. The film is set to give us a deep dive into Black Widow’s past, as well as showing her on a new adventure with her family. A major theme to be expected in the film is redemption, i.e Black Widow redeeming herself for the actions she partook in prior to joining the Avengers. Fans will finally also get to see Natasha Romanoff’s family and if we’re going by the clip showcased, it’s going to be a very awkward reunion.

The brand new clip premiered during Jimmy Kimmel Live. In it, the Red Room family has reunited, and are seated at a dinner table. David Harbour’s character expresses considerable excitement in reuniting with Rachel Weisz’s Melina. Harbour’s Alexi flirts with her but she immediately fires back with some light-hearted banter. Meanwhile, Florence Pugh’s Yelena takes a shot, completely disinterested from the sentimentalities being thrown around.
