‘WandaVision’ Showrunner Jac Schaeffer To Develop More Projects For Marvel Studios

WandaVision showrunner Jac Shaeffer signed a new deal with Disney to develop more Marvel Studios and 20th Television projects in the future.

Due to COVID-19, WandaVision became the first Disney Plus series from Marvel Studios out of the gate, and it debuted to great success. The series was one of the most inventive turns from Marvel Studios yet, with Jac Shaeffer acting as the showrunner. Following WandaVision, it now looks like Shaeffer will be working on more Marvel Studios projects in the future.

Jac Shaeffer was also one of the writers behind the story of Black Widow, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, that won’t be the last Marvel project on her resume. The Hollywood trade shared Shaeffer has signed a new three-year deal with Disney to work on new projects for Marvel Studios and 20th Television.

Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Matt Shakman directed the series with Jac Schaeffer as the lead scribe; WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Evan Peters as Ralph Bohner, and Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness.
