‘Black Adam’ Producer Hints Dwayne Johnson Might Star In ‘Many’ Sequels

One of the producers on Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam suggests that the DC film could get several sequels in the future.

It’s not exactly news that Dwayne Johnson is one of the biggest stars on the planet, and his role in DC’s Black Adam will only push him further into the pop culture stratosphere. The upcoming DC film includes an array of impressive stars who will appear as the Justice Society of America, including Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate and Noah Centineo’s Atom Smasher. But one of the producers on the DC film is already looking ahead to future sequels

When speaking to Variety, Dany Garcia opened up about the possibility of Dwayne Johnson appearing in several movies as Black Adam, noting that Seven Bucks Productions (co-founded by Garcia and Johnson) is excited about an ongoing working relationship with DC and Warner Bros. Since Black Adam has always been closely tied to Shazam in the comics, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the two characters collide on the big screen at some point in the future. Take a look below.

“We want to do many. We’re excited about our long-term relationship with DC on this property.”

In addition to Dwayne Johnson, Black Adam also stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer and Bodhi Sabongui are also on board in undisclosed roles.

Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions are producing the Black Adam movie with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo. FlynnPictureCo’s Scott Sheldon serves as an executive producer.

Black Adam is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 29, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest regarding the film and the future of the DC Extended Universe, and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more original content.
