‘WandaVision’: Elizabeth Olsen Confirms Scarlet Witch Can Travel Different Universes

WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen confirmed that Scarlet Witch has the ability to travel between different universes.

Marvel Studios’ first original series for Disney Plus kicked off 2021 into high gear. WandaVision became a fan-favorite for its unique place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, focusing on Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff AKA Scarlet Witch dealing with the traumatic effects of losing Vision (Paul Bettany) following the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Wanda ended up creating her own fantasy world and officially takes on the Scarlet Witch persona by the end of the series, which serves as the lead-in to the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Given the title of the highly-anticipated Doctor Strange sequel as well as the appearance of Scarlet Witch, fans keep speculating about the versatility of the character’s abilities. In an interview with Scott Feinberg on the Awards Chatter podcast, Elizabeth Olsen dropped a crucial detail regarding Scarlet Witch’s abilities that will certainly be explored in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness:

“She has a few fun powers. You know, telekinesis, she can travel between universes…”

In the WandaVision finale, a post-credits scene finds Scarlet Witch studying the Darkhold in her astral form where she hears the cries of her two sons. This small tease gave fans a sense at what to expect from her when we see her return in the highly-anticipated film. It’s safe to say that director Sam Raimi is going to take us on a wild ride with this one.
