A new image sees Venom star Tom hardy don a tactical Wolverine costume to replace Hugh Jackman in the MCU.
Although it hasn’t been too long since the last cinematic outing of the X-Men, it’s inevitable that they’ll join the Marvel Cinematic Universe now following Disney’s acquisition of Fox. Marvel’s Kevin Feige previously addressed the issue, explaining that they’re still debating how to reboot the mutants in a way that fits in with the rest of the established continuity. But since we didn’t get to see Hugh Jackman suit up in Wolverine’s classic yellow costume from the comics, many fans want to see Tom Hardy pick up the Adamantium claws in the MCU.
The new fan art comes from ‘jph_photoshop’ on Instagram, and gives Tom Hardy the cowl we briefly glimpsed in Hugh Jackman’s The Wolverine film, as well as imagining what the rest of his suit could look like in the MCU. The ears might be a little over-the-top for the big screen, but Kevin Feige would likely figure out a way of making them work somehow. If they can bring a walking, talking raccoon into the MCU, they can give Tom Hardy a Wolverine costume. Take a look below.
