Zack Snyder has revealed that Superman and Lois Lane’s son would take over the Batman mantle from Ben Affleck in Justice League 3.
Now that Zack Snyder’s Justice League has been released on HBO Max, the director is telling all about his nixed plans for sequels to the superhero team up. Snyder revealed numerous things about his cut of Justice League and it’s sequels including an axed Green Lantern cameo, the death of Ben Affleck’s Batman and even that there would be a new Caped Crusader in the third film.
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Snyder revealed that Superman and Lois Lane’s son, Bruce Kent would go on to become the next Batman, following in the footsteps of his deceased uncle Bruce Wayne. The news is pretty surprising all things considered. The idea that Superman and Lois would name their son after Bruce Wayne and allow him to follow in his footsteps is interesting to say the least. Check exactly what Zack Snyder had to say on Ben Affleck’s Batman replacement below.
It was going to be Lois and Superman’s son, he doesn’t have any powers, and then he was going to end up being the new Batman. Twenty years later, on the anniversary of [Batman’s] death, they take young Bruce Kent down to the Batcave and they say, ‘Your Uncle Bruce would’ve been proud if you did this. Anyway, something like that.
