Sebastian Stan Anthony Mackie Marvel Studios Disney Plus Kevin Feige Falcon Winter SoldierMarvel Studios head Kevin Feige recently teased one of the new locations in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Sometimes, fans are spot on with predictions for comic book shows and movies. And from Kevin Feige’s recent comments about The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, it seems one theory about the future of the show and where Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson travel to was accurate. The producer confirmed that one of the locations audiences saw in the first trailers for the Disney Plus series was indeed a place from the comics that was previously not available to Marvel Studios.

As comic readers will know, Madripoor is often associated with Wolverine after it made a major appearance in his 1988 solo series from Chris Claremont. While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Kevin Feige explained that Marvel Studios has only recently been able to use the location (following the Fox acquisition), and that it’s more of an Easter egg than a full on X-Men tease. Take a look below.

“There’s a setting in particular that people have already glimpsed in some of the trailers that is a setting from the Marvel Comics that was not previously available to us, but it’s more of an Easter egg in and of itself”

What do you think to Madripoor being a location in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier? Are you excited to see the Marvel Studios series?

Here is the official synopsis for the Marvel Studios series:

Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”

Directed by Kari Skogland from scripts written by showrunner Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad, the series stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent. Actors Desmond Chiam, Miki Ishikawa, Noah Mills, and Carl Lumbly have also been cast.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will premiere exclusively on Disney Plus on March 19, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on Kevin Feige and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
