Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey turns into Two-Face for Matt Reeves’ The Batman trilogy starring Robert Pattinson.
It was originally rumored early on that The Batman was going to feature a Harvey Dent. As far as we know, that ended up not happening, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see the Batman rogue at some point down the line in the trilogy. As far as who can play Harvey Dent or Two-Face, it might be time for Matthew McConaughey to finally join a comic book film.
Matthew McConaughey shared a few months ago he was interested in playing the Hulk years ago but was ultimately shut down. It’s hard to imagine any studio would turn away from McConaughey today, and there are certainly other roles he could play. Two-Face is definitely one of them based on the art from Jaxson Derr. The plot of The Batman is being kept under wraps, but we know the film will follow Robert Pattinson as a younger version of Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his second year as the Dark Knight of Gotham City. The Batman will also show off the hero using his skills as a detective more than what we’ve seen before in previous versions of the hero. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new trilogy of films with Pattinson.
Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
