Junkie XL Drops New ‘Justice League’ Song & Soundtrack Details

Zack Snyder Cut Justice League Junkie XL

Zack Snyder Cut Justice League Junkie XLJunkie XL shared a new track from Zack Snyder’s Justice League along with soundtrack details ahead of its HBO Max release.

A major change that will be seen, or rather heard, in Zack Snyder’s Justice League is its score. Originally, Junkie XL was tapped to compose the music for Snyder’s film after his work on Batman v Superman with Hans Zimmer. However, when Joss Whedon was brought on board, superhero movie veteran Danny Elfman took Junkie XL’s place on the project.

For the theatrical cut of Justice League, Danny Elfman used his theme for Batman from the Tim Burton films and John Williams’ iconic march for Superman. It’s expected that the score Zack Snyder’s Justice League will feature the return of Hans Zimmer’s Superman theme first heard in Man of Steel, along with other familiar themes more in line with the DC Extended Universe. One track from Junkie XL’s score has already come out, and now, another comes weeks ahead of its release. You can listen to “Middle Mass” below:

Junkie XL also shared on Twitter that the soundtrack for Zack Snyder’s Justice League will consist of 54 tracks and be available on March 18 alongside the film’s HBO Max debut.
