DreamWorks Animation’s Spirit franchise has been on a journey these last two decades. Going back to 2002 with Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, it saw an unexpected revival in 2017 through a 3D animated Netflix series, Spirit Riding Free. In preparation for upcoming film Spirit Untamed, publisher Outright Games has now revealed it will be releasing a video game tie-in this summer.
Called DreamWorks Spirit Lucky’s Big Adventure, it comes as a collaboration between the publishers, Universal Games and Digital Platforms. Marking Spirit’s first-ever video game adaptation, Outright Games provided this statement:
