Now that Wonder Woman 1984 has debuted on HBO Max in the U.S., most fans of the DC Extended Universe have managed to see the film which sees Gal Gadot reprise her role as the Amazonian warrior. But the sequel also included a minor callback to the first movie which saw Diana Prince leave Themiscyra and join the fight against the Central Powers in World War One. In a brief, surprising moment, Lucy Davis reprised her role as Etta Candy.

Fans will remember Etta Candy from the first film, who was Steve Trevor’s secretary and helped Diana fit in a little easier with the world after leaving her home. During Wonder Woman 1984 there’s a brief shot of an old photo – showing Diana and Etta reuniting on the water. It ‘s a touching reveal, and Davis pointed out that the two stayed friends after the first film, while also saying that it was great to briefly work with Gal Gadot and the rest of the crew once again. Now the upcoming third film has officially been green-lit, hopefully it will also include a surprising cameo or two. Take a look at the photo from Lucy Davis below.
