Business COVID 19

What a year it Had Been to Leadership Next

Superior morning.

When we began Fortune‘s Direction Next tradition back in February{} no idea we’d be starting into the very tumultuous season in modern history.  The drama unfolded per week until our eyesor instead, ears.

Ellen McGirt and that I spoke with Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky, in the middle of his trip out of traveling lockdown to $10 billion IPO billionaire; using Flagship Pioneering creator Noubar Afeyan, whose firm Moderna has been on its approach to making one of the earliest vaccines for COVID 19 at reasonable rate; using GM CEO Mary Barra about her strong and personal reaction to this George Floyd murdering; using technology CEOs such as Salesforce’s Marc Benioff, Workday’s Aneel Bhusri, HP’s Enrique Lores, also Cisco’s Chuck Robbins who watched their companies vie; retail CEOs such as Levi’s Chip Bergh,” Kohl’s Michelle Gass and Lowe’s Marvin Ellison who had been made to create dramatic moves into electronic stations; and hospitality CEOs such as Hyatt’s Mark Hoplamazian, that also watched his company mostly disappear immediately.  If you wish to comprehend the profound effect 2020 needed on business, it is best to return and listen to all of 40 events.

Yea, alright, I understand –no one has a spare time 20 hours. So following is a brief clip: Ellen and I created a list, together with clips from a few of the favorites, also with assistance from our favourite host –Deloitte CEO Joe Ucuzoglu.  It is possible to hear this afternoon, on Apple or even Spotify.

We’ll return with a brand new year in the new calendar year.  News below.
