Pornhub past night purged countless user-uploaded videos out of its stage amid allegations it had been hosting material comprising child sexual abuse, nonconsensual rape, violence, and other criminal substance.

“As part of our policy to prohibit unverified uploaders, we’ve additionally suspended all previously uploaded articles which wasn’t made by content partners or partners of this Model Program,” Pornhub stated in a firm blog article , as initially documented by Vice. The purge seems to get hit nearly 9 million of those 13.5 million movies around Pornhub as of Sunday, or almost two-thirds of all of the articles hosted on the website.

“This means each sheet of Pornhub articles is from confirmed uploaders, a necessity that platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat and Twitter have to institute,” the firm added. “In the world today, all social networking platforms share the duty to fight illegal substance. Solutions should be driven by actual facts and real pros. We hope we’ve demonstrated our commitment to leading by example.”
