Jamie Foxx Electro, Spider-Man 3 Tom HollandElectro actor Jamie Foxx made a surprising comment about whether he’s in Spider-Man 3 alongside Tom Holland or not.

With production on Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 well underway, fans are getting extremely excited about what’s ahead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will reprise their roles as their respective Spider-Men. The excitement only exacerbated when it was seemingly confirmed that Jamie Foxx will return as Electro for the third film alongside an appearance from Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. But in a recent interview, the Electro actor made a strange comment about whether he’s even in the sequel.

When speaking to CinemaBlend ahead of the Disney Plus release of Soul, Jamie Foxx noted that he can’t speak about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 but he’ll be happy if he’s in it – emphasizing on the ‘if’. It’s a strange joke to make given the star himself confirmed his return  as Electro in a quickly-deleted Instagram post which potentially revealed that the Spider-Verse will make an appearance in the sequel. It’s possible that Foxx could just be covering his own back as a way of not ruining the film – but it’s still an odd comment to make.

“You’re absolutely right, I can’t speak on it. But if I’m in it, I’ll be so happy.”

What do you think about Jamie Foxx’s Spider-Man 3 comments? Are you excited to see him return as Electro to face Tom Holland’s Web-Slinger? Sound-off in the comments below!
