‘Joker’ & ‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’ Get Best Score Grammy Nominations

Joker Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker Grammy

Joker Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker GrammyTodd Phillips’ Joker and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker have both been nominated at the Grammys for Best Score.

Although Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Joker were each a little divisive among audiences and critics, they’ve both been nominated at the Grammys for Best Score. John Williams’ work on Star Wars has become synonymous with the franchise itself while Hildur Guðnadóttir’s haunting compositions for Joker perfectly matched Arthur Fleck’s descent into villainy during the bleak character study.

Alongside Joker and The Rise of Skywalker in the nominations were 1917, Ad Astra and Becoming. Given how much recognition Hildur Guðnadóttir has garnered over the last few years, it wouldn’t be surprising to see her nab the 2021 Grammy for best score to add to her collection of an Academy award, a Critics Choice award and a Golden Globe.

Which film do you want to see win the Grammy? Does Joker have the better score over The Rise of Skywalker? Sound-off in the comments below!
