See ‘The Boys’ Star Karl Urban Succeed Hugh Jackman As Wolverine

The Boys Karl Urban Wolverine Hugh Jackman Replace

The Boys Karl Urban Wolverine Hugh Jackman ReplaceKarl Urban joins another comic book franchise as a concept design imagines The Boys star as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine successor for Marvel Studios’ X-Men reboot.

Marvel Studios’ plans for incorporating Wolverine and the X-Men are underwraps, but it’s expected that they will not include Hugh Jackman. No actor has played a comic book character on the big screen longer than Jackman, giving Marvel Studios a tough task ahead to find a worthy successor to bare the Wolverine claws. A name some fans are getting behind as the next Wolverine is The Boys star Karl Urban.

Wolverine might not return in live-action for sometime, but Karl Urban could bring that ruggedness that he displays as Billy Butcher in The Boys to Logan. While Urban has already appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Skurge, we’ve seen that Kevin Feige is not afraid to bring actors back for different roles. For instance, Gemma Chan will play Sersi in The Eternals after portraying Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel. To take this popular piece of fan-casting one step further, new fan art from digital artist Kunal Chopra imagines Urban taking over the Wolverine from Hugh Jackman. You can check out the fan art for yourself below!

Here is the official synopsis for the second season of The Boys:

The even more intense, more insane season two finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Aya Cash, and Colby Minifie.
