Chris Pratt is set to reprise his Star Lord role in Thor: Love and Thunder.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Chris Pratt has officially joined the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder. When we last saw Chris Pratt as Star Lord, he and Thor were jokingly fighting over who would be the captain of the Milano, so this casting comes as no surprise. The actor will join the star studded cast that features Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson and Christian Bale in a mystery role.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to begin filming in Australia this January and we’re placing our best bets that the other Guardians of the Galaxy join the frey.

Chris Hemsworth recently discussed how excited he is to push both the film and Thor in new directions after audiences have come to expect wild, dramatic things from the God of Thunder after his last few appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He was also quick to praise the rest of the cast in the film as well as director Taika Waititi, who he says is currently writing the script. I was supposed to be shooting Thor right now but obviously everything got pushed back and I’ll be starting that in January. It’s the fourth time, the fourth Thor film and I think the eighth or ninth time I’ve been in a Marvel movie. So, very excited, excited to try and do something different. You know, the last three films we certainly pushed the envelope and created different versions of the character and now people expect massive dramatic changes so we’ve got our work cut out for us in that sense. But we’ve got Taika Waititi, the same director back, he’s writing the script currently. Natalie Portman’s going to be in the film, Tessa Thompson… So we’ve got a fantastic slew of actors in there, and crew and cast.
Full details on the plot for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder are currently under wraps, though the film will be partly based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, in which Jane Foster becomes the new Thor. Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale.
