Following 15 years sending Mac computers using Intel chips, Apple has announced information about its very first Mac to forgo Intels’ CPUs in favour of Apple-designed, ARM-based processors dubbed Apple Silicon. Apple announced the very first Apple Silicon Mac are the 13″ Macbook Air using M1, an entirely fanless and quiet layout.
