Mark Esper is Outside as defense secretary, Even Weeks Later Hammering Trump

The Pentagon manager’s ouster was a very long time coming.

Secretary of Defense Mark Esper was terminated, only weeks following President Donald Trump missing the 2020 election.

Trump produced the Monday afternoon statement, as he frequently does, onto Twitter. “Mark Esper was declared,” the president said. “I want to thank him for his services.” He added that Christopher Miller, the manager of the National Counterterrorism Centerthat could take more than the acting Pentagon manager.
