New promotional art from Marvel Studios’ Eternals puts Barry Keoghan and Salma Hayek’s characters in the spotlight.
It’s fair to say that Marvel’s Eternals has quickly become one of the most fascinating projects in the pipeline thanks to the mystery surrounding the group as well as the incredible ensemble cast the studio has assembled. With stars like Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek and Barry Keoghan onboard, there’s a lot of hype surrounding Eternals. The dense mythology and backstory that goes hand-in-hand with the millennia-old race of beings leans heavily into the wider Marvel universe. So translating that from the comics to the screen in a way that both honors their story as well as being understandable for general audiences could be something of a challenge. Although, Marvel has managed fine this far with characters like Doctor Strange, Thanos and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
One big question fans have had is what the team’s cosmic outfits will look like in live-action, and thanks to some recent promotional art, we’ve got a good idea of the group’s wardrobe. Most recently we got a glimpse at Richard Madden’s Ikaris leading the team in an artistic poster design. But new promotional art which surfaced on Twitter shows off Barry Keoghan and Salma Hayek’s characters in their vibrant costumes. If this image is anything to go by, Marvel’s Eternals will be a particularly colorful affair. Take a look below.

Plot details for Eternals are being kept under lock and key, but the story reportedly features a love story between Gemma Chan’s Sersi and Kit Harington’s Dane Whitman, a.k.a. the Black Knight. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:
Marvel Studios’ The Eternals features an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, The Deviants.
Chloe Zhao is directing the Marvel Studios project from a script written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. The cast of Eternals includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena, and Barry Keoghan as Druig.
